Carla Mann (Performer)
has been choreographing, teaching and performing contemporary dance since 1983. Her choreographic work, based in Portland Oregon, has been presented on the East and West US coasts and in China. Her recent work includes dance video installations and live performance in alternative venues. Carla has also performed with tEEth, Collage Dance Theatre, Dance Gatherer, Os+Co/Dance, JED, The Navigators, Benny Bell & Company, Lynne Phelps, Bonnie Merrill, Touch Monkey, Imago Theater, Ray Terrill and Janet Towner. Carla is an Associate Professor of Dance at Reed College, where she has taught since 1995. This is Carla's third season with Minh Tran & Company.

Riho Katagiri (Performer)
moved to Portland after living in NYC for eight years where she performed with Teri & Oliver Steele. She first worked with Minh Tran in 1997 at the University of Washington. Her degrees include a BA in Dance, a BA in Interdisciplinary Arts, and a BFA in Photography from UW. Riho also studied graphic design at the School of Visual Arts, patternmaking at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and holistic nutrition at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC. She currently works as a technical designer/patternmaker in the apparel industry. Astrology is one of her other interests; she is Virgo sun, Virgo moon, and Aries rising.

Angela Caceres (Performer)
received her bachelor of Science in Dance from Western Oregon University in 2007, while maintaing the director position of Southridge High School Dance and Guard Ensembles. She will be starting her sixth year at Southridge, and expanding the program into five colorguards ranging in grades 5th-12th. She is also continuing with choreography and curriculum advisor and consultant roles at Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps WI, Signature Independent World Colorguard DE, Oregon Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps OR, and North by Northwest Independent Open Colorguard WA. This is her second season with Minh Tran & Company.

Margretta Hansen (Performer)
A native Oregonian, Margretta has performed in the Portland area with Oslund + Company/Dance, Tere Mathern Dance, Mike Barber, Jae Diego, Catherine Egan, Linda Austin, Carla Mann, Cydney Wilkes, Aviator, Melissa St. Clair, Ballet Oregon, Portland Opera, and Pacific Ballet Theater, as well as in Eugene with Dance Theatre of Oregon, Susan Zadoff, and Eugene Ballet Company. She has taught at Eugene School of Ballet, Conduit Dance, Inc. and Lewis and Clark College. Margretta is a frequent contributor to Ten Tiny Dances and currently teaches at the Center for Movement Arts in Southeast Portland.

Suzanne Chi (Performer)
began dancing while living abroad in Taiwan. Since then, she went on to receive a BA in Dance from Muhlenberg College in 2005. Directly after graduating she participated in The Yard's Bessie Schoenberg residency on Martha's Vineyard. Her performance career spans multiple coasts, ranging from Portland, Seattle, Philadelphia, Martha's Vineyard, to Muenster, Germany. Notable performing experiences include Northwest New Works at On the Boards in Seattle with Maki Morinoue and the Wilma Theatre in Philadelphia with Charles O. Anderson. Most recently she worked with Tahni Holt at the Ace Hotel, and is excited to join Portland's dance community. She is very interested in site-specific dance as well as dance for the camera. Her latest adventure is pursusing a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine.

Jesse Berdine (Performer)
began his study of dance at Portland State University in the early 90's, focusing on Latin American Folkloric, Caribbean and western contemporary styles. Since then he has performed with Keith V. Goodman’s Dance Gatherer, Carla Mann, Tere Mathern Dance, Oslund+Co, and NY choreographer Sally Silvers. Jesse has additionally worked behind the scenes as a stage manager for Portland Taiko, Ten Tiny Dances, tEEth, and Minh Tran & Company. He is currently on staff in Oregon Ballet Theatre's education outreach program, and was a dance instructor and accompanist for OBT's Project FIND from 2003-2007.
